ACT I

He had, acidic eyes and a mischievous smile

intriguing beyond belief

stayed in character all the while

amazing to say the least

her painted eyes and duct taped smile

couldn't hide the pain she felt

familiar to this type of trial

acceptance was how she dealt

He claimed, "This lights only big enough for one of us,

this life is mine,

Just leave, silently without a fuss,

Keep your head up, you'll be just fine"

Inside she screamed

And she cried

The light beamed

she watched from the side

it was amazing to say the least

And he bowed to the crowd

but there was no applause

he had thought they'd be proud

but they could see all his flaws

So he ran to the girl

tried to convince her she's his world

and she said "it's my life! This time there is no plural"

he grew mad, and on to the stage she was hurled

the light stung her eyes

and she began to cry

the audience cheered

it was as the boy feared

the girl smiled and then bowed

the applause still hadn't ceased

her true colors impressed the crowd

it was amazing to say the least

she is amazing to say the least
